Payment Policy
STModels Ltd uses secure third-party payment providers to process online and card payments. Depending on the payment method selected, payments may be processed through providers such as PayPal, Stripe, Worldpay, or another approved payment processor.
STModels Ltd does not store full credit or debit card details on its website. Payment details are handled securely by the relevant payment provider in accordance with their own privacy, security, and payment terms.
Online Orders and Stock Availability
When we receive an online order, we may check stock availability before capturing or completing payment.
If an item is not currently in stock, we will contact you to confirm availability, estimated delivery time, and any suitable options before proceeding with the order.
If you do not wish to proceed after being informed of availability or delivery times, we will not continue with the order.
Custom-Made Models and Bespoke Orders
Custom-made models, bespoke builds, restoration work, and display cases are subject to separate payment terms because they are produced or worked on according to the client’s specific requirements.
For custom-made and bespoke model orders, a deposit of 50% to 75% of the total order value may be payable upon approval of the order. The exact deposit amount will depend on the nature of the build, the level of restoration required, the estimated production time, and the complexity of the work.
Where agreed, a further staged payment may be required once the model reaches an agreed stage of completion.
The final outstanding balance must be paid in full before delivery or collection of the completed model.
Authorise and Capture Payments
In some cases, STModels Ltd may use an authorise and capture payment process. This means a payment may be authorised first and only captured once the order details, availability, or next stage of the order has been confirmed.
If an order cannot be fulfilled as originally requested, STModels Ltd will contact the client before proceeding, capturing payment, or agreeing any revised terms.
Payment Security
All online payments are processed through secure third-party payment platforms. These providers use their own security systems, encryption, fraud-prevention tools, and verification processes to help protect payment information.
When you pay through a third-party payment provider, your payment is subject to that provider’s own terms, privacy policy, and security procedures.
STModels Ltd receives only the information needed to confirm and process your order, such as payment confirmation, order details, billing information, and delivery information where applicable.
PayPal, Stripe and Worldpay Payments
Where PayPal, Stripe, Worldpay, or another payment provider is available as a payment option, your payment will be processed securely by that provider.
Each provider operates independently and has its own terms, privacy policy, security procedures, and dispute process.
STModels Ltd does not receive or store your full bank account or card details when you pay through these providers.
Payment Confirmation
Once payment has been successfully processed, STModels Ltd may receive confirmation from the relevant payment provider. This allows us to process the order, continue production, arrange delivery, or provide customer support.
If payment is declined, delayed, cancelled, reversed, disputed, or subject to additional verification, this may delay the processing, production, delivery, or release of the order.
Final Balance Before Delivery or Collection
For custom-made models, bespoke builds, restoration work, and display cases, the final outstanding balance must be paid before the model, restored item, or display case is delivered, collected, or released to the client.
STModels Ltd reserves the right to withhold delivery, collection, or release of any order until all outstanding amounts have been paid in full.
Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds and cancellations are handled in accordance with our General Terms of Cooperation and any order terms agreed at the time of purchase.
Please note that custom-made models and bespoke work are made to the client’s specific requirements. Once production has started, payments may be retained to cover materials, labour, research, planning, and other costs already incurred.
For standard, non-custom orders, cancellation and refund requests will be reviewed in accordance with the applicable refund policy and the client’s statutory rights.
